What to Expect

  • Starting March 17, 2024, Monarch Boulevard will be closed to through traffic to allow for the efficient completion of this project, anticipated December 4, 2024. This closure will ensure the safety of both workers and the traveling public and establish clear detour routes to minimize inconvenience.
  • The project will be done in four phases. Phase One, Phase Two, and Phase Three have been completed as of October 23, 2025.
  • Starting October 23, 2024, Monarch Boulevard will be closed to through traffic from Briar Dale Drive/Burggarten Drive north to Berganot Trail to allow for the efficient completion of Phase Four, anticipated to be completed December 4, 2024. This closure will ensure the safety of both workers and the traveling public and establish clear detour routes to minimize inconvenience.
  • The installation of a new water line during the road construction will allow an upgrade to the Castle Pines North Metropolitan District water infrastructure. It will also decrease costs by completing both projects simultaneously. It will reduce the overall project duration and traffic impacts compared to two separate projects.
  • Homes within the road closure area will remain accessible. This access will be exclusively for local traffic and emergency services only.
  • There will be no impacts for the remainder of the 2024 school year. In June 2025, construction will include work from Berganot Trail to Winter Berry Place.
