Slash Collection Day
September 14 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
"Slash" is debris, from nature, such as tree limbs, prunings, and pine needles. If not removed, slash can increase potential fire hazards on your property. Removing slash, and creating defensible space around your home, is the first line of defense against wildfires. To help you mitigate wildfire danger on your property, the City of Castle Pines is hosting a free slash collection event. Bring any tree limbs, prunings, pine needles, or other yard debris to Elk Ridge Park for free disposal on Saturday, September 14, from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. as a part of the City's slash collection event.
If not removed, slash can add to potential fire hazards on your property. Mitigating and preparing your property for wildfire is important. All vegetation is allowed. Please limit the diameter of trunks or limbs to less than 16 inches. No lumber is allowed, and please ensure there is no metal (nails, screws, etc.) or rocks in the materials you drop off.
