Monarch Boulevard reconstruction begins March 17

March 6, 2024 at 12:53 pm

The project requires the closure of Monarch Boulevard between Castle Pines Parkway and Glen Oaks Avenue.

The City is excited to announce the beginning of the 2024 Monarch Boulevard reconstruction project, a key component of the 2024 Road Solutions initiative. This comprehensive project, stretching from Castle Pines Parkway to Glen Oaks Avenue, marks a significant investment in our community's infrastructure. It will enhance safety, increase traffic efficiency, and improve overall quality of life in Castle Pines.

What to Expect

  • Starting March 17, 2024, Monarch Boulevard will be closed to through traffic, between Castle Pines Parkway and Glen Oaks Avenue, to allow for the efficient completion of this project. The project is anticipated to be completed by September 2024. This closure will ensure the safety of both workers and the traveling public. We have established clear detour routes to minimize inconvenience. Please visit the project webpage to view project details and a map of the Phase One detour.
  • The project will be completed in two phases. Phase One will begin on March 17, and Phase Two will begin once Phase One is completed. We will update the community as the project progresses.
  • Homes within the road closure area will remain accessible. To access homes within the closure area from Castle Pines Parkway, traffic will be directed to Buffalo Trail and then south on Monarch Boulevard during Phase One. This access will be exclusively for traffic to and from homes within the closure area as well as emergency services.
