Monarch Boulevard Reconstruction Phase Four Begins October 23

October 15, 2024 at 3:14 pm

We are excited to share important updates regarding the Monarch Boulevard reconstruction project, a key component of our 2024 Road Solutions initiative. This comprehensive project, stretching from Castle Pines Parkway to Berganot Trail, marks a significant investment in our community's infrastructure by enhancing safety, traffic efficiency, and overall quality of life in Castle Pines.

The project is progressing ahead of schedule, with Phase Three scheduled to be completed on October 23. Phase Four, from Briar Dale Drive/Burggarten Drive north to Berganot Trail, will then begin on October 23. This schedule will help reduce the impact on the community and the traveling public for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year and significantly reduce the remaining Monarch Boulevard construction in 2025. In 2025, construction, currently expected to begin in June, will include work from Berganot Trail to Winter Berry Place. Thank you for your patience!

What to Expect

Monarch Boulevard will be closed to through traffic from Briar Dale Drive/Burggarten Drive north to Berganot Trail to allow for the efficient completion of this project by early December. The intersection of Berganot Trail and Monarch Boulevard will be closed during construction. This closure will ensure the safety of both our workers and the traveling public. We have established clear detour routes to minimize inconvenience.

  • Communities located along Berganot Trail and Wetherill Circle will maintain access through Buffalo Trail from Rockcress Way.
  • Communities located along Briar Dale Drive will maintain access through Briar Cliff Drive.
  • Communities located along Burggarten Drive will maintain access with two-way travel on the south side of the intersection to Monarch Boulevard.
  • This access will be for local traffic and emergency services only.
